Creating mashups shouldn't be illegal, it's taking something old and turning it into something new. the author of this movie was very bias. He made the government look bad for charging people for downloading music, also known as copyrighting. Which I believe is the same as the author downloading music should not be illegal, if people today want to have with there music by taking old songs and turning them into mashups then it should be allowed.
Bias is shown in this movie, by showing the people who were accused or charged for copyrighting music. Girl talk was one of the main reasons for this movie. What Girl Talk did was took old songs and made them upbeat, new, fresh and he made them come back into style. Girl Talk didn't care for copyrighting because he was taking old music and bringing it up with the generation. If anyone were to get caught copyrighting music you would be fined with hundreds if not thousands of dollars for taking something that is yours "copyright".
People should have the freedom to download music. As long as they don't change words and call it there's. It should not be illegal to download, people should not get charged with copyright! its the whole reason artists make music is so people can listen to there talent. Girl Talk is one to show you that it is ok!
